EVOL! Posted March 5, 2010 Share Posted March 5, 2010 It depends. Silver face Fenders like the Pro Reverb are top on my list. Newer Fenders have mushy tone, especially the 65 Reissues. I will give high marks to the Deville series. 4x10 combo is ace and LOUD. Have not played through many Marshalls and certainly not any of their high end models like the Blues Breaker. I would entertain those or any no master volume Marshall. The problem is that I need loud cleans and that is something Marshalls are not known for.
