Flight959
Guy's, Is there a difference between Gibson USA Custom and Gibson Custom Shop?? Thanks in advance!
Jomo
I could be proven wrong here, but I believe the Customs are produced in large runs that all are "almost" the same. And Custom shops are either one offs or very limited. I have a 1996 Custom shop and it's obviously not a color that they would mass produce. Flight959
Thanks... The reason I ask is I have a Gibson LP Custom Slash Signature (The 04 model) which has the CUSTOM SHOP logo on the rear of the headstock. When you click under the signature solid body guitars on Gibson Custom website then click Slash it only comes up with the 04 Model.... As one of the new Slash signatures is a USA custom where is it? (It is however shown on the front page) Thanks flight959
Aaresz
There is a differance between Gibson Custom Shop guitars, and Gibson USA guitars. On the Gibson home page there is a link to the two shown after you select electric guitars. Though I do not know for sure I believe both are made in Nashville, but in differant locations. Someone else may be able to answer that.
MikeRom
One of them is made in Memphis, the customs I believe. Supposedly the custom's get the best woods, electronics and are more hands on. They make all the signature series and vintage replica's.
