NeoConMan
Damn! They really did clean house, eh? I didn't realize there were that many VIPs onboard. But a Russian plane? I'd sooner fly Air Ethiopia...
mcmurray
Damn! They really did clean house' date=' eh? I didn't realize there were that many VIPs onboard. [/quote'] I'm amazed that all the military commanders were allowed to be on the same aircraft. It makes no sense to keep them together, MP's as well. That's the 6 highest ranking military leaders that were killed along with what looks like a good percentage of the government.
NeoConMan
Imagine the conspiracy theories already spreading like wildfire over there.... Especially since it was a Russian plane, and it was NOT in Poland.
Mr. Robot
I implemented a policy at my company - no more than 2 executive members on one plane Guess it didnt get implemented in Poland
retrosurfer1959
Wow talk about a government restructure. Many companies fear the loss of too many key employees in leadership in a accident like this. The place I just retired from had a regulation that no more than three of the C-Level leadership team (nine of us - CEO, CIO, CFO etc.) could travel in the same conveyance at one time. And they were serious didn't matter if it was a plane or a taxi they didn't want us all grouped together if something happened, guess they figured they could survive the loss of 1/3 of us
Mark
They have already blamed the pilots, this should get interesting.
deepblue
Those were all people with sons and daughters/moms and dads. Political crap aside...this is tragic. Prayers to them all.
mcmurray
They have already blamed the pilots' date=' this should get interesting.[/quote'] Apparently they were told to divert but refused. The aircraft went around 4 times due to fog and crashed on the last one. It wouldn't surprise me if they had the Air Force commander in the jumpseat barking orders - 'the mission at all costs'. NeoConMan
They have already blamed the pilots' date=' this should get interesting.[/quote']Landing accidents? With no documented mechanical issues? Without declaring an emergency? Pilot error 95% of the time. There may be dozens of reasons, a chain of errors a mile long, and all sorts of extenuating circumstances. In the end, the flight crew screws it up.
Blackie
Heavy fog........unfamilliar airport.............old plane...........they would have had to be landing on instruments only with about zero visibility.
