DJB08
Hello friends... the good forum member TWANG is in the process of providing me with some brilliant new PG's and TRC's. I tried but, I just couldn't wait to get some pics up here... IntelligentAl
That has to be one of the best looking Dots I've ever seen! Good bit of flame on there, too.
AS90
Nice looking Dot you have there! Are you going to change the pickup rings to match the PG?
mgrmatt
Great looking DOT DJB08! Keep us posted when you get it dressed up to your specs. mgm
DJB08
Nice looking Dot you have there! Are you going to change the pickup rings to match the PG? We'll see...The Cream TRC is in the works and I'm gonna look for a cream toggle switch. Those might all work in good balance with the Black pick up brackets considering how much black is in the guitar's finish already. I'm not one for Gold but, I just couldn't pass this one up. The flame is sharp, the finish is classy and it's just a very smooth player. Still needs a set up so I can't get some real rock out of it.
TWANG
I like that cream on there. TR cover and switchplate should match, I think. why don't I have a sunburst. I want one every time I see one. TWANG

ButchCassidy
Breathtaking! WOW. Don't change anything, except doing a cream truss rod cover. Cream pickup rings would be overpowering. Great job!

Great job![/quote'] I though the same thing, Don't want to overdo the cream...I think the PG balances well with the binding. which matches almost exactly. clarkuss
I love that! I have a Dot Deluxe as well and guess who's making my W/B/W Pick Guard? I'll probably get a cream/white tip switch for mine. Looks awesome. Can't wait to see the rest!
TWANG
I'm making my first set in bloodwood.. so far they're pretty neat.. mounting rings gaurd.. the whole bit. it's making me want a set for Big Red! *L* I'll put them on her and post pics when I'm done. mgrmatt
Great look! I've alway thought that a Vintage Sunburst Dot looks better with a lighter pickguard. thanks for sharing the photos! mgm
clarkuss
I agree. Sunburst is my favourite finish and I think white looks great with it. I'm always disappointed when I see Gibson 335s with a white pick guard only to discover it's the protective paper!
DJB08
I think the contrast really makes everything pop. the guard stands out nicely and the burst really..it almost shimmers a little more. I do like the sun and vintage burst. Not in to the cherry burst though. TWANG would have to cook up some good matches for me to dig that burst. fenrirlupus
it may not be my favorite color, but it definitely looks sharp.
