unreal77
Check the truss rod cover, the lettering looks kind of fake to me.

MaxHart85231281734137
That must be the european answer to the only-US available Riviera P93:d/ I guess it's true' date=' 'cause thomann never showed anything not real Peter[/quote'] I guess ,but thats a nice price too, espically if shipping to U.S. is some where around $100 man i want one bad, maybe these will show up over here in a little while
unreal77
maybe its a dot like one that was shown around a couple of months ago. They were sold through the merchants association? or something like that. Expert help please!!
byrds1965
Looks to be another good use of the Supernova tooling.
JohnMcClane5000
It's the 'Japanese' (only for the Japanese market) Riviera II.... It's based upon the Supernova but without the tacky signature on the PG....
charlie brown
And...the "dot" inlay on the head, is actually "correct" for a Riviera! The "crown" should be on the Dot, and the inlay that's on the Dot, SHOULD be on the Riviera...the vintage ones have that same inlay. As to origins? Say's "Crafted in China" on the back of the headstock! So...???? Is Epi up to something, they aren't telling us...AGAIN! LOL! Epi-1, where are you, and what's the story, on this one? unreal77
straight from the seller's mouth: Hello, This model was originally marketed to Japan (not in the USA). This is the only one of this model we have in stock. The original serial number was replaced with a new one by the factory-authorized refurbisher (standard protocol on all factory 2nd guitars). Thanks!
clarkuss
makes sense. Hope the one on Thomann will also come out in VC or VS finish

JohnMcClane5000
is this a chinese or Korean one? I'd like some more detailed pictures of the actual guitar, I don't like buying the cat in a sack.... I'm talking about the Thomann guitar, NOT the Supernova-ish one
clarkuss
Looks like it will be a chinese production.
JohnMcClane5000
my main concern's the f-holes being too big (making the guitar look odd to me) and the TRC.. I know, I'm so superficial...
clarkuss
F holes look fine to me. A TRC, for me, is just what it says on the tin. Covers the Truss Rod.
JohnMcClane5000
F holes look fine to me. A TRC' date=' for me, is just what it says on the tin. Covers the Truss Rod.[/quote'] How can you tell? The picture on Thomann shows an old Korean Riviera with the 'bigger' white TRC and the more delicately shaped f-holes...
