mgrasso
Happy New Pick Guard Day! (with new electronics - or should it be HNPGDWNE?) Just got my Sorrento back from the shop today. This is how I got it: Checkout the bridge. Each saddle was set to one length and going the same way. Would not intonate up the neck. Had new electronics, wires, pots and switch and plug installed. Plus new saddles. I also bought a Casino pick guard off e-bay and it installed. I think it was from a newer Chinese Casino because there was a difference between the spacing between the pickups. Slight, but noticeable. My Korean Casino's pick guard fit perfectly when I sized it before purchasing. I love the contrast of the white and orange. Plays like a dream and sounds great. Here's the eye candy:(Regular camera is down. These were shot with my iPhone) Had the same work done to the Casino and will be photographing it next. mgrasso
I like my girls to look as good as they should sound. She has such a nice tone through my Blues Junior. My buddy and I are playing electric this weekend (sometimes it's easier to just play acoustic) Have not bought a new guitar in over a year, and decided that this is the year to upgrade and enhance. (Although there is an 01 Epi Accu Bass at my guitar shop that is begging me to take her home. Don't play, but that is not an issue. And of course I have to get an amp to go with her. When it happens, I will post photos) More to come as they get their makeovers. Mark
midiman56
She's a beauty, Mark! As a well-documented lover of pickguards ... I fully support your decision! The poor girl looked naked before. Jim

mgrasso
Thanks. But but I think it is a prerequisite here to post as often as possible. I'm not as handy as most on the forum, and rely on Pittsburgh Guitars for all of the work I want done to my guitars. They are big Beatles fans and love Epi's. I am working on recording with digitech jamman into Garage Band. A lot of technology and so little time. As soon as I get somewhat proficient I will post what each guitar sounds like.
