WTF!?! http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yUJBAX0B2k Darrell was a one of a kind: talk about pure feel! and at 38, i think that he too had a lot more to give... such a shame. pippy
I didn't know Freddy King was dead! That was a bit of a shock! Anyway; many, many greats have been mentioned and, much as I love Paul Kossoff's playing, the one I'd most like to see back with us is this guy. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjn_3gF78FQ&feature=related

milod
Yeah, it's kinda sad that most folks tended to think of Jerry as a singing comic type entertainer. Sheesh. A heckuva picker. m
Big_Guitarra
So many, but...Jerry Reed. He was a pretty entertaining actor on the big screen as well. And classic in Survivor!
jaxson50
All of my picks have been covered. Chet, Segovia, Clarence White, Harrison, Lennon and others (Joe Pass, Herb Ellis).. We have been so blessed with great players, so I must submit a player whose playing is always overlooked, but he was a giant. Freddie Greene. I bet nobody here knows his name. For 50 years he had one gig, with The Count Basie Orchestra, his timing was so solid that the Count nicknamed him Father Time...
PartsPvt
The most recorded guitarist ever..Tommy Tedesco. I have no favorite..as there are just too many that I admire their work.. Some of the best technicians are unknowns really..guys you hear often..that maybe you see a credit on a liner..or not.
