heymisterk
Okay, I was going to get some feedback on the LP part of the thread, but I always have better luck here I have a chance to pick up a LP Traditional - a sweet Goldtop - for a good price. I am just curious if anyone has an opinion - positive, negative, other - about them. It's an '09. I got a little confused about the different levels just within the Trad. line...Pro, "regular"....? Thanks!
RB72
I have a Traditional Plus and couldn't be happier. The tone it gets is amazing and the 57 classics rip your face off. I read somewhere that the Plus model is exclusive at Guitar Center but not sure if that's true. As far as I know the "plus" is the figured maple top but I could be leaving things out. I played so many I get mixed up at all the different models. I just know I found the perfect guitar for me. Got a pic to post?
LPguitarman
Don't own one, but I played one at GC. Very nice.
swleary
I have a traditional plus and couldn't be more happy with it. The 57's are an amazing pickup and the top on the plus is great. The pro is also another nice choice as it has coil splitting but at the price of a plain top.
heymisterk
It's a Craig's List ad: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/msg/1948437908.html In the limited amount of research I have done on Lesters (I'm an SG guy), this seems very reasonable. Do you think this one would have the push-pots? Thanks All! JK
Tim Plains
The Trad Pro is a Guitar Center exclusive. That's the one with push/pulls. Plus on these just means it's not a gold or black top.
Big Bill
The biggest difference between the Pro and Plus is the neck. The Plus has the thicker 50s profile while the Pro has the slimmer 60s style.

The Plus has the thicker 50s profile while the Pro has the slimmer 60s style. now I wouldnt say that. there are a bunch of differences bettween the pro and plus. weight releived vs. chambered. coil splitting vs. not. plain vs. plus. heymisterk, make up your own mind. I would rather have the plus and just put coil splitting on there afterwards.

Dude, read my post again. Do you see the word "only" anywhere in there. I'm willing to bet you will not find it. All Traditionals are weight relieved. LedZep2112
I apologize. I did read your post wrong, but I beleive the pros are chambered as to the wieght releived plus's. so thats a difference of 5lbs and a little bit of tonal difference as well. Thats what Iv heard. Big Bill
No apologies necessary. A 5 lb. difference between a cambered and weight releived Les Paul is a bit excessive. I believe the difference is is only a pound or two.
