Interesting, looks like some sort of fore runner of the EM-1 Looks like an Epi Strat neck to me, the EM-1 has a very distinct "C" cutaway and the bridge and pickups are all pretty close together, they don't look too close in those pics. and whats with those knobs? The only possibilities that I can think of are - either its an Epiphone neck on some other body, or its a guitar that was made for the the Japanese market.
