Andre S
Maybe it has a Johnny Winter setting? Isn't that the Firebird XI?
Rocky4
Well, I had been using this Standard Faded. Like I said, great tone, poor upper fret access... I always consider my guitar buying days over until somebody posts a pic of a Standard Faded. Beautiful guitar!
damian
I'm comfortable playing slide on most guitars...Except really low action LPs...I keep a bunch of geetars in different tunings............ Why did the blues guitarist cross the road ????? To get to the other slide....... A blues cat was arrested........The judge let him slide.......... Jon S.
The best sounding slide work I've ever heard has been on an SG, Duane Allman or Derek Trucks. +1!! I also like the LP Junior for slide. A cranked amp and P-90's is always a good choice!
Mojorule
Hmm tele for slide.. never heard of it but sounds very interesting :D Have u had any experience with it? Absolutely no disrespect to the Allman and Trucks fans here, because those players' use of the SG is unsurpassed, but for me the sound of electric slide will always be a red Telecaster + a Silverface Fender Super Reverb in the hands of a particular past master. In two words: Muddy Waters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VcGXHx8WwM

Tman
My opinion, the Firebird, action raised a bit. A white one especially. My favorite slide player (nothing to see on the video, just to hear). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9j25V4iw94&feature=related

Mojorule
I didn't know Ben Stiller could play the Harmonica!?! Great Video, by the way! Well clearly he had to learn an instrument to keep up with Jack Black. And look at the drummer laughing at 5.03 or so. That's Stiller's work all right. Is the second guitarist Adam Sandler in a wig?
