Epi decals still on the pickups. (Now removed) Stickers on the back of the headstock

(I whited out the serial #) And the coveted 5 piece neck. It actually looked like the

original strings are still on it too. The gold hardware has a nice patina look

to it now - not even faded. This is literraly a new guitar. There are no scratches on

the pick guard either. I'm completely stoked. [woot]

Plugged in, this thing is warm and mellow. If I dig in a bit, the pick ups have a

slight growl similiar to the 57's in my Les Paul. The pots and switch work perfectly.

Tone and volume roll up and down smoothly and no scratchyness to be heard. It came with

the origianl case that has a big fat E on it.

Items to do this weekend: lemon oil the fret board, polish her completely, new strings.

The action is unbelievably low. I might raise it a bit. No buzzes. Just not used to such

low action.

Bobouz - thanks again for pointing me to Gbase where Guitar Hanger had this listed.

Lot's of eye candy on that site. Thankfully, out of my price range - so there's no temptation.

want me to be the first one to use it? :)

Too late.

All cleaned up: Fret board oiled, completely polished, new strings.

Had to tighten a couple tuning peg nuts and the strap buttons. Nothing

a new guitar out of the box would need

Decided to leave the action low for now - getting use to it and kind of like

it. It's a very fast neck, especially after being oiled.

This thing is a tone monster. I love the humbucker crunch and smooth

mellow tones. It's now my number one guitar. I'll have to work the

others back into rotation sometime.

I agree about the sound. I've had a 2005 SB Sheraton since I bought it new. I've taken the pickguard off to show-off the guitar's finish, and I spent some time setting the guitar up to play and sound like I want. I lowered both pickups considerably to clean their sound up, more woody and less muddy. Compared with my Gibson 335, my Sheraton is a little more Delta bluesy, and a little more 50's rock and roll. They both sound good, just different.
