bluzhammer
Good , bad or indifferent, it doesn't matter. In the nutshell, I have a friend of a friend wanting some quick cash for his BFG Les Paul and I'm considering a ride over to scope it out. I would appreciate any feedback any of you have on this model.

bluzhammer
UUUUMMMMMmmmmm................ Please post pics, asking price, guitar's history, etc etc.......... .. Don't have any pics as of yet, it's the green Gator looking thing.... . I've been told that the guitar is less than 6 months old, hasn't been played out gigging. Now, this is all second hand info., I haven't talked to the actual owner as of yet. Apparently the guy needs $800.00. I'm just kicking tires on this thing at the moment. Ah, I thought so....I'd grab it, even sight unseen then...I remember which Gibby it is....Some hate those, I'd love one.. The only green guitars I've seen that I like are that one and Cookieman's Clapman Strat.......
bluzhammer
Yeah, I just viewed several clips on Youtube, sounds like a tone monster. I'm riding out around 3p.m. , my time to check it out.
Silenced Fred
BFGs are cool. I hate the finish, but they sound good. For 800, you can get it refinished and still have a great guitar for still a good price.
GavinGuitar
I like them. The P-90/HB combo is absolutely wonderful for tone. I'd definitely take it for that price.
Larsson
heck for 800 bucks sounds like a good deal to me! they are kinda strange looking at first but when you look at it for a while they look really nice i think... and the p90/hb combo must be good! Tim Plains
I had a black one a while ago. Cool sounding guitars. IIRC, about $800 is what I paid for it new.

Thanks guys, I believe that $ 600.00 is more than fair to start haggling at . I can't see more than $675.00 myself.
ne14t?
BFG Gator I like that guitar, its quite different makes it interesting! Be a pretty sweet score for $
bluzhammer
Well, I played the BFG yesterday, quite a good mix of tonal options. I wasn't too enthused with the lack of fret markers, and old boy was stuck on the $800.00 price he had set , so I told him " HOLLA " . I'm not quite sure what that means, but I hear it used often. RUSHian
"holla" means Hello. I would have told him I have 7 criso $100.00 bills right now...
DMichaelG
Is this it? Yeah, like it. Rustic and nasty looking. How does it sound? They go for about 1K so appear to be a good price. Good luck with it.
retrosurfer1959
I really like the pickup combination on the BFG I have a guitar of the week Studio BFG - which is just a gloss black BFG with the BFG wiring and pickups. It's a great guitar and one of my favorites to play because of the options it gives me.
