I have a buddy who is one of those guys. He is a good dude so I cant really be too jealous. My bestfriend is a dummer and he was saying just walking on to my college campus with a guitar case would be a magnet for hot girls. Then again, I've been with a hot girl who I didnt have much in common with and that flat out sucked. A little something in common would be nice. Maybe...the guitar or something. She was engaged to another guy and we just kind of hung out together between classes in college. This lead to us finding quiet areas on campus, where we'd sit and I'd make up stupid songs on my acoustic to make her laugh. Soon we were just finding secluded areas to make out. Well you can guess the rest. Certainly to stay together for 30 years much more is at play than just my guitars. We both felt around the same time that we'd found our soulmate. I am not talking about Plenty of Fish, Craigslist, Jdate or any of those free services...Ones you gotta pay for, one of my girlfriends best friends is a young mother of two and she has been doing the eHarmony thing for a while and apparently you have to pay for the service before you can contact anyone, and then all your contact is mediated for like the first couple months or something, apparently they dont really let you exchange a lot of personal info or anything, meanwhile your still paying. All just to cut down on people trying to get a quick lay, which is good cause I mean obviously the people resorting to a service like that have some problems already and dont really need more. I dont know if the numbers are correct that was a figure I saw listed by OKCupid in one of my Macleans magazine at the start of the year, personally I dont care I just try the random approach thing, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt and the only time I will quit is when I get married or get maced :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
