What's your take on these Epiphones?

Well there are many here that can help you with the first 2 guitars, but not me.

However, I did a little "thinking", and figured the logo meant, "Rebuilding- note - by - note".

I plugged it into Google and discovered it does indeed mean that.

It's from an organization called "Music Rising" started by U2s The Edge, and producer Bob Ezrin. It's for helping out the victims of the Katrina Hurricane. Here's a link that will tell you more, and has pics.

I would hazard a guess that the first one is a Crestwood Custom, third one down the page.

Crestwood Custom

The second one seems to be a Wilshire to me, but what variant I couldn't say.

BTW: if you have any model ID questions, the Unofficial Epi Wiki is a great place to have a browse, put together by members RTH and Sjael, it's a tremendous resource.

I checked that link. What an awesome project. Apart from the benifets provided to those in need, it will surely make a great collectors item

The first one is a Cretwood Custom 1961-1962.

The second is a Crestwood Deluxe 1963-1969

The third guitar is a limited edition "Music Rising" les paul. This one isnt in the wiki yet, but I have been aware of it for some time.

That's excellent. Thay must have just about every bit of info on every Epi made. Great source.

Cheers

We are working on it. Not quite every bit of info, but more and more every day. I'm surprised I'm not burned out on it yet. [biggrin]

But threads like this make it worthwhile [thumbup]

I've never seen the Epi version, but the Gibson version is damn cool. They have one on display at the Nashville airport. It kind of has that Zoot Suit SG "Clownburst" thing going for it, except not stupid looking.

I agree it's not stupid looking, in fact I think it's awesome. Man I better not show that to my wife. I'm already in hock for the one I just got her. [biggrin]
