LP Sudio Fireburst - Pickguard Or Not?

Guys, just picked up this 2011 Studio in Fireburst color. Looks great as is, I have thought about adding a pickguard, but originality is important too. Just curious as to why Gibson didn't put one on this model? Also would like to hear your thoughts on adding one or not. Thanks.IMG_2546.jpgIMG_2548.jpgvIMG_2543.jpg

decisions, decisions.

I happen to agree with BigKahune on this one (and, I almost always go for the pickguard), but the top on the guitar is a great plaintop. Show it off! [thumbup]

Im a traditionalist.......les pauls (imo)....are only les pauls WITH a pickguard/scratchplate....(somehow look incomplete to me without [confused] )

However..... if i ever?! buy one without said,i'd be buggered if i'd drill holes into a top like that!

so i'm with, don't add one on this occasion...

nice guitar.
