PG has spider hands. Amazing player. I've always wondered how much better I would be if I had really long fingers. Would make those stretches easier

It isn't so much the length of his pinky....as it is the way he holds the neck. He does have large hands...but the classical guitar technique of thumb behind the neck greatly improves your reach :D

Look at Joe Walsh's hands also his fingers are really long as well.

I think that big hands and or long fingers is an advantage...Jimi Hendrix had Huge paws.

 

but as already mentioned, improving your technique will greatly enhance your ability to reach tricky chords n scales, and will improve your speed and control.
