SG Standard Now with Katalox?

I've looked over the SGs and the Standard now has a fretboard of Katalox. I wish Gibson would pick a species of wood and stick with it. It must get confusing for the builders.

Also, the SG 61 now has "North American Rosewood". I guess this is what they'll be using on the historics as well.

Katalox is another name for Coracao de negro which is also sometimes referred to as Mexican Ebony. It is consistently hard and has excellent sonic properties

"Coracao de negro" sounds like wood. msp_thumbup.gif Katalox sound like a prescription medicine. msp_thumbdn.gif
