Ive had a couple of those... they were Sweet.. they may be Big...But they were cool..

 

One I bought from a Elderly Gentelman in the City here , it was a Ebony finish.. a 1918

the second was from Elderly Instuments in Sunburst. a 1920

 

and a 1920 Style 0 from out of Montana... it was Nice...

 

these all had a tone of there own..

 

here is one of these.. beside a J2000 and a 1992 J200

Oops, for a moment there I forgot it's not 1970 anymore....

 

 

Seriously, I once heard a guy play Bach on the harp guitar, and it just about blew me away.

I actually owned one of those in the late 1960s. Some store had it hanging on the wall as a decoration and I talked them into letting me have it on the cheap.

 

Can't say much about it as it was unplayable. I never got it fixed so it ended up spending a few years as a decoration in my house.

I think the Gibson Style U harp guitar and Style O Artist are two of the most beautiful musical instruments ever made - not just by Gibson, but by anyone.

 

Agree all the way on the Style O.

 

Did Gibson ever make a mando/guitar combination? I have seen them built by others but don't recall seeing a Gibson version.
