Very nice indeed OWF. I particularly like Steve Hackett's guitar in the background.

Any ideas on the chords? Looks like some unearthly alt tuning to me. I'd love to have a go at this one.

Talking 12 string? Check this

great pickin' and singin'. two things though, what is that small body behind him? it looks like a L00 with a century of progress pearloid neck and and a slot head. very cool. also, do you have to wear a hat to play the blues?

lol on the hat. really though, i bet there's tradition to speak of here. if i had to hazzard a guess, i'd say that either "bluesmen" (buskers et al) used the hat for tips once they began to play or that alot of clubs in which the blues could be heard were for "gentlemen" which required formal attire so as not to offend the "white" collar crowd...... or they were cold!

Albertjohn...tuning is DACGCD

Wow thanks OWF. I'm going to give this one a go. I still have my cheapy but remarkably good sounding Adam Black 12 er to play around on. So I can feel a retune coming on!

I haven't look at the clip again but he seems to be playing a sort of G shape with the root of the chord on the bottom string ( in this case D string)

Ajohn-If you figure out what those chords are let us know. They sound nice.

Cunk-I'm not sure but it looks like it could be a Maton. Australian I think, not sure.

Fun, fun. How 'bout Mr McTell's Statesbor Blues--

ps the hat (chapeau) is a non-traditionanl accoutrement affected by revivalist blues performers on the grounds that they are ... cool. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
