Svet
Hey guys, I have been playing my Sheraton tonight and wow, I just love this guitar! This was the guitar that brought me back! Six years ago I started playing the guitar on a daily basis again. I had a hiatus of about nine to ten years where I played very rarely. I had two guitars and one amp. The bug hit me in 2006, I had been working again and was making money for a few years. I was gassing for another Sheraton II to replace one I sold off back in 1997 or 8. This is when I learned of the Elitists on Epiphone's website. I called my local dealer and they actually had one on the rack! I drove the 30 miles and bam, I was hooked on guitars (especially epiphone Elitist's) again! Within a few months of that I would buy a Martin 000-28 and Telecaster Deluxe and in that year 4 Elitists! The Sheraton is responsable for setting the hook and is one of the few guitars that I will never sell! In the Spring of 2006 I had two guitars and one amp. I now have 26 guitars and four amps but I sold off a few amps and guitars in the last 10 months! I blame the Sheraton for that gas burst but my lust has subsided now and it has been a few years since I've bought anything. I' m sure having a kid is largely responsable for that... Anyway, here's the blonde that had I not met I would have a lot more money in my pockets!! That's a better instrument than my ES 335! What guitar caused you to get crazy with buying?!? Svet
Hi Mike, thank you! Have you ever played an Elitist Epiphone? They are fantastic and are flawless in construction! I cannot say the same for Gibson as I can nitpick areas on all my Gibsons!
charlie brown
It's always a pleasure, to see your "gear," Svet...especially that Elitist Sheri! While not a "Blonde," I love my Vintage Burst AIUSA version, as well: CB
eggs
I will never sell! I sincerely hope you are right Svet... but I would strongly suggest that you never say never  For many reasons, I love my bog standard 'Blondie'... & certainly hope that I get to keep her
Lefty Bill
Nice body, of course, but those fretboard inlays really stand out as representing a guitar that's not just like so many others. The Sheraton design versions have been in continuous production since 1959 according to some background info I read recently, and not many models have that much heritage. The thin body, full-length solid center block and thin-walled side chambers make the design genuinely unique. Bill Hey guys, I have been playing my Sheraton tonight and wow, I just love this guitar! They use real Mother of Pearl and Abalone where Gibson Custom Shop uses acrylic in lieu of the real stuff!!

Pin
I've always fancied a Sheraton. This bloke has what he says is a first issue "Epiphone by Gibson" (1986) model for sale - only available to the UK and at a fair old price too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Epiphone-Gibson-Sheraton-Ultra-Rare-1st-Issue-1986-Korean-Must-See-/180865310331?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2a1c699e7b But still, a nice piece of history. WarlKicken
Ah wow, what a post and what a lovely looking guitar. I had the Revolution Casino and that sparked a brief (you gota go mental within your means ;)) spending spree on a Dot. I basically spent about 1,000beans in three weeks then stopped before, well, what you did Sveg!! How the bloomin' 'eck can you people afford so many expensive guitars!! I just bought a Tribute LP (Gibson ebony edition). I've always, ALWAYS, wanted a Gibson and now I own one and it's HUGE for me. I know it's only entry level (I know I always say that as well) but to me it's a Gibson none the less!!! I was thinking of getting a Revolution Casino again (sold my Dot and Casino a couple of years back) BUT the white Sheraton II looks stunning. Help?! I got some P90s on my Gibson LP....surely that means I need some Humbuckers in my life, leaning towards a SheratonII here!! Great work guys, love the fact you list all your guitars in your signature. I would but, well, I have a Gibson LP and a Vintage acoustic me Ma n Pa grabbed me as a nipper!!!! WK

Korean-made Sheraton I's aren't worth as much as Sheraton II's according to guitar value books. I think the recent manufacture Sheratons are better made and more consistent than the older ones.
