Something that has always confused me is that established business says that you must have short hairs and wear jacket and tie to be "presentable" for business. BUT - isn't it this short haired jacketed and tied group of people who have been the biggest crooks' date=' junk bonds, Enron, etc, and caused the most damage to the economies of the world??

So why does a haircut and tie make you more "presentable and believeable as a person?? Business cannot, at leats none that I know, can give a valid argument as to why. Clothes make the man - or should I say CROOK!!

Hmm, I must admit that being a tenured professor has its perks because I can wear what I want. All of the federal agency types are mostly non-tie wearers these days too (ok they still wear pocket protectors but I'll take the bad with the good). So even when I go to meetings it's pretty nice. I'm too lazy to grow my hair long though, so please send some my way (he he he).

Hey Thunder...sorry to put you on the spotlight but....ahem, what happened with the haircut? am I missing something? or:

A - Did you chicken out?

B - Are you still in shock after getting the haircut?

C - It was just an excuse to have pics taken with your axes?

...no... actually I am still in shock and haven't figured out how to comb my hair yet... (right now I'm using enough GEL to drown an elephant).

Once I get it rightly combed I will post some more pics (beard and moustache already growing... maybe they will help a little)

Does anyone else think that Thunder has a pair of BFG shoes?

Oh, and by the way, GET THEM OFF THE SOFA!!!!!!

Yeah, I used to have long hair, too.

16 inches cut off when I got my first full time job and it hasn't been the same since.

Good luck, TG.

i know it must be really annoying to have to cut your hair and change your appearance for the corporate world, but i must say that you have a very nice face and getting a haircut that would showcase your features nicely might actually make you look like more of a rockstar than you already do!
