Went and saw Alison Krauss and Union Station last night with Jerry Douglas. This guy was every bit as good live, just an amazing player. he didn't play this one in particular but he did have about a 10 min solo rendition of some Paul Simon and Chic Correa. They also played "The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn" and some of my other favorites. I don't always listen to Bluegrass, but when I do... Its Alison Krauss and Union Station. [thumbup]

I've been the monitor engineer on a bunch of shows where Jerry was playing- always a gentleman, and a really nice person. Pretty funny also!

While I'm at it-I'd like to nominate Sam Bush as King of the Mandolin!

Sam Bush is a fantastic musician and performer but I got to give my nomination to David Grisman first. I think Sam is a better fiddle player than mandolin player and believe me, no insult there.
