1941 SJ 100 RI

We are a tough crowd! Gibson adds a non period correct detail to a classic model (a banner on a J-35, for example) and we traditionalists (myself included) complain. Gibson builds an accurate reproduction of a classic, like the SJ-100, and modernists complain.

 

I got a chance to play one of these new SJ-100s and really liked it. Is the batwing version my favorite? No, but I still like it and it is an accurate recreation. My favorite SJ-100 was the earlier version with the mustache bridge:
