Twiz
I got a Railhammer Chisel pickup (bridge) for my Daredevil this past week. Pretty sweet sounding pickup. Before: After:
Riffster
Looks cool, why the need for a change? How does the new pickup sound?

Twiz
Looks cool, why the need for a change? How does the new pickup sound? I plan on taking this guitar on tour this summer when we go out. The stock pickup was good, but got a little mushy on the lower stuff (we tune down a whole step). It's a lot louder and more clear. I was doing research on a higher output pickup, and read about these. I didn't want to go with actives, so this is a good alternative. What are the advantages to having half pole half rail? The rails are supposed to keep the notes from the lower strings tighter. I'm the rhythm guy in my band so I'm doing a lot of downpicking and riffs. They help that cut through pretty well. From what I've read online, rails are good for lower strings, but you lose some note clarity with the higher strings. That's the reason for the poles. -Higher notes are clear as well. It's a pretty cool pickup, and very quiet when I'm not playing. I actually thought I had it installed wrong because it was so quiet. Haha. I might do a demo vid if I can get to my practice spot this weekend.
Riffster
Cool, it is always great to find the right pickup. I installed a Duncan Distortion on my V and love it.

cookieman15061
Sweet Twiz, thats the first I've heard of those. My initial thought was that it looked stupid but it really is pretty cool looking and if it gives you what you need sound wise even better. Rockin da Burgh as always! CoreyT
Very cool. I have seen those in the guitar magazines, and also a few companies are offering them as stock pickups now from watching the 2013 NAMM videos. That guitar is very nice looking too.
