  1. Did the Angels do your security like at Altamont?
  2. I missed the S & A Tour but saw them 8 other times. Nice
  3. Rickie Lee Jones 1st one. The one where she is smoking on the cover.
  4. If she was a big freezer, how could she take you halfway there?
  5. It was my first Gibson and it was a student guitar at best. I don't think I have ever seen one gigged. Heavy chunk of Walnut or what ever it was made of. There is a reason they were only made for a bout 5 years. Why they reissued them I will never know? Wait I just remembered its these - $$$$$$. Since you seem to be in the know. What does Gibson do with guitars that do not sell?
  6. Its where he stores his sausage.
  7. Sold 'em for a reason, so none. I would have kept them had I wanted them.
  8. Murph an engineer? More like a MacGyveneer. When I was a young electrician in the Navy, my Chief used to get on my a-ss for not using electrical terms.
  9. One guy mentioned he was a drummer first and a guitarist second. Can't remember his name.
  10. Unless you call Gibson, the serial number is just a number to identify the guitar, and give it a unique number, such as the one on your toaster or TV set. The guitar stamped next should have the next number higher and it could have been another SG or a LP or an ES-335. That guitar was made when Gibson pulled a fast one for a few years, and decided to go away from the first and fifth number being the year, and the 3 in the middle the Julian Date. I think from 2015 -2019 the first two number are the year and the rest is productions numbers and stuff.
  11. And though she tried her best to help me She could steal but she could not rob
  12. Ordered it last week on Blue Ray. It is in 5.1, and it has a new stereo mix, and the original mix, and promo videos too. https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/chris-squire-fish-out-of-water-blu-ray-high-resolution-edition/
  13. I was re watching the Get Back doc this weekend. I'm in the middle of disc 2. Paul started out with his Hofner and had stings on it that had red silk around the end, then a while later he had yellow silk. He also took the sticker off his Bassman amp (that said Bassman), and stuck it on his bass. I also spotted a huge Fender amp and on it in big letters on the front it said . . . now try to stay contained . . . Solid State. Oh the horror. Take that tube guys the Beatles used solid state amps.
  14. I can's see a thing with the glare on it.
  15. Sorry one of the best players ever doesn’t play your brand. I’m sure he has the ways and means to get one if he wanted one. Maybe you should make a list of who doesn’t play Gibsons that might be shorter, huh? Nope
  16. Attach vintage to it or antique to it, and the price goes up 10 fold. Also Limited Edition too.
  17. Looks like a Norlin era LP. Yeah, you can tell there was a different footprint underneath where the tuners are. The tuners were probably swapped. The pick ups were probably swapped. Does it have a double pancake body where there’s two slabs stuck together?
  18. Richard Thompson plays Lowden’s, but what does he know about guitars? Oh, wait he’s one of the best players still alive today. I think he’s playing on in the video. Looks like Suzanne Vega and Loudon Wainwright III are sitting next to him on stage.
  19. BEE kicked my butt. I was originally going to be an electronics technician, but I failed out of that school and went to EM school. Thank God I did cause I don’t play dungeons and dragons.
