  1. Here is my vinyl. And a bit of my Fender Jazz Bass. At last count I had close to 1000.
  2. uncle fester said: Vinyl - apologies if it's a naive question, but is there truly anything sonically different from vinyl vs streaming, or is it more the cool factor of having vinyl... and IMO there is definitely a cool factor there. I started a new thread to get off the Roth Train. I don't do it for the cool factor. I'm not a 20 something going retro and trying to be hip. I'm 53 and when I started listening to music you had albums, 8-tracks, cassettes and reel to reel (which were expensive). Do I own CD's of course I do. Do they skip and have hiss, no. but if you have ever heard good quality vinyl on a good quality system your mind may be changed. I recently re-purchased all of the Frank Zappa (that are out, Beatles too) on 180 gram vinyl and when I played Joe's Garage and Over-Nite Sensation I was blown away at how much better it sounded than my compressed CD versions. I have never stopped buying vinyl. I go to used record stores all the time and have been since they went away in the late 80's or early 90's or so when ever it happened. Now it is making a comeback. The artwork is bigger, some had posters and lyrics your could actually see and read, and not just some little 4x4 small package. It like the Martin/Gibson argument. You like what you like and don't like what you don't. If you only want to stream and listen to CD's that's okay.
  3. The thing about those 57 - 60 LP's is there were not as many made as compared to today. Gibson probably pumps out as many made in those 4 years as the do now in 4 months. And they have been put up so high on a pedestal that only Joe Bonamassa and football team owners can afford them.
  4. The guy next door has a riding mower. He does it for me every few weeks and and I give him a $20. Win - Win. Takes him all of 10 minuets if that.
  5. It's my original from like 78 and 79 when those albums were released.
  6. Name his last solo album. I can't. Or his first.
  7. Diver Down had a few good songs. I think it had 3 cover songs on it if I'm not mistaken. And at 1984 they became a joke. Jump. I call it Junk. Don't listen to it its Junk. Junk. Then some keyboards. And Dave jumping around with some scarfs on.
  8. He's probably inside with the AC on too.
  9. That is everything that is wrong with music, but he did with his pants half falling off, and that one thumb plucking technique is better than Richard Thompson can do any day of the week.
  10. VHII is my go to, VH is the classic and it certainly is a landmark album. After Fair Warning they tanked. How many times do you need to cover a Kinks song or anyone elses. Write your own stuff and if you can't write enough for an album maybe you should have put the bottle and the coke down and focused. And Sammy turned them into a ballad band. Of the Sammy era, I can only take Poundcake and What You Started. The rest who needs it.
  11. Your just starting to believe that now? The net is riddled with it and has been.
  12. Man I love Derringer. Sweet Evil and Derringer I played to death. Ronnie Montose was on They Only Come Out At Night too.
  13. I can set mine on fire, but won't. Love Jimi. Axis is my fav.
  14. Happy Birthday tomorrow. I'll make a martini in your honor in a few minutes. Just got home from a bike ride (the pedal kind), fresh out of the shower. Gonna strum the D-18 in a bit.
  15. I dig Canada. Been there many times. Not really envyous of it though.
  16. Thanks Royal Mounted Forum Police Post Count Moderater. Eat my A-ss with a spoon . How's that for rude.
  17. What baffles me is Hendrix is always in the top spot of every guitar poll of who is the greatest, yet he obviously hasn't played a note in 50 years. Which means since his death, not one guitarist has made any advancment with the instrument since he died. Laughable.
  18. It's the split diamond custom thing. What's strange about it? Have you never seen that on a Gibby? But yeah a 335. Can't see if its got a Varitone.
