  1. I went in and headed for the acoustic room. Played a nice used J-45. Then a used Eric Clapton Martin 000-28. Wow. I think there was only one or two other Gibby acoustics on the wall all locked up. After a few trips back and forth the sales associate I got sick of asking to get stuff unlocked. Bought a boom mic stand for a present and I was off. They had a multi-colored LP and SG and they were locked up way up high. The only cool vintage thing they had was a pancake Norlin LP Deluxe. Locked up of course for 5k.
  2. Shoulda had a taquito or two or one them quesodilla's.
  3. Just looked on Reverb and $2500 was the lowest. There was one in Japan for $2200 but they wanted almost $200 to ship it.
  4. I'm in on Virtuoso. I've got the cleaner and polish.
  5. If this is your budget. Your looking at a Studio. If you find any kind of Std or Trad for that price in good condition jump on it.
  6. I was a Navy guy too. I just like The Beatles so Pepper it is. Couldn't believe it was still available.
  7. My buddy loves Bigsby's and installs them on any electric he owns he can. I know he has one on his LP studio and his Epi 355 and I think his G & L Tele.
  8. Here is one I can get behind. My buddy should be getting us Tommy Emmanuel tickets (hopefully today) for his upcoming show in April.
  9. They were then...free agency. It used to be back in the day you knew who was on your team and they would be there next year.
  10. I know. I was so mad when he came back. And Derek Carr at the end of the last game. WTF use your head. We were winning.
  11. Saw Vida Blue pitch against Phil Necro when I was a kid in Oakland in 1979 I think. I think Phil got ejected for throwing spitters. A's has some great years in the 70's than again in the late 80's. They are making a comeback. My Raiders, lord help us and please fire Gruden.
  12. I'm an A's fan if we are talking baseball now. I'm assuming you being in Maryland and the O's are the Orioles?
  13. I love The Stones circa mid to late 60's to mid 70's. They are the worlds most famous garage band, and live they sound awful. But why people salivate all over Exile baffles me.
  14. I do love the 50th Anniversary stuff. I think they are better that the original releases, but that's me. When you boil it down they were just 4 guys that happened to be in a pretty big band. I'm not naïve. I know what Garth means to the country world and his significance in country music and its history, I'm just can't get behind his music.
  15. For me there is 2 types of music good and bad or music I like and music I don't. And GB just happens to be on the don't side. And people are upset about it? If you don't like The Beatles then you don't. I'm fine with that. And no matter how hard I could try to sway to The Beatles side, it probably wont happen by some guy on a forum.
  16. That EC Spike is frickin' sweet. I've seen him 3 times and do not recall him ever playing his own sig model.
  17. Oh there is gonna be smoke. Its the kind that is legal in Cali.
  18. Who is doing the choreography The cold hearted snake Paula Abdul? I've heard a heap ton of Garth, my wife loves the guy and I have heard probably almost everything he has done - Rope The Wind, No Fences, Sevens, Man Against Machine, In Pieces and that is just what I can remember off the top of my head.
  19. I thought his genre was Country not rock. Zeppelin - Rock, AC/DC - Rock, Garth - Not Rock, except that album where he played it off that he was some I think some Australian Grunge Rock Star. Garth is a Takamine guy from what I've seen. When I saw his Lounge Act in Vegas and most of the pics and stuff I've seen of him he played a Tak.
  20. Wow, I'm glad I'm allowed to express my opinion. Are you guys seriously getting your panties in bunch cause I'm not a Garth fan? What would happen If I say in the past I've owned a Fender Strat? Would members show up at my door with pitchforks and burning stakes? Looks like this place is gonna be a joy to hang around. Yep I know what the next post from some one would be, "you can leave anytime". So I typed it for you.
  21. I know . What d!ick that guy is to the nerve to actually like good music. Why did the outlaws break away from the Nashville machine. Cause they were fed up with the the way it was done and the joke it is to this day. Remember the You Tube Thing about the top I don't remember how many country songs, and when played back to back all sounded exactly the same. Who the world needs is 1000 more songs about booty shorts and jump up in the fronts seat of my F150 and Budweiser and my tractor is sexy and my dog ect ect. So, if you like Garth and Taylor Swift ect, knock your self out and go enjoy them. I like what I like and I'm not settling for underwear skid. My wife is a huge Garth fan. I've heard a ton of his music and if I liked it I would not be afraid to say so or listen to it , but I don't. That 90's era country to me is silly. I don't get him. Maybe you do. I like Wille, Waylon, George, Merle , Dwight, Chris Stapleton, and a few others. I know Garth has written songs that people like. I Got Friends In Low Places Vs The Abbey Road Medley? MMM what should I choose? Am I a music snob - absolutely, guilty as charged.
  22. Don't you have to know the secret handshake to own a Ric?
