  1. Head Of The Relic-ing Department This is the best line ever: In the video from Casino Guitars, they mentioned that it is really hard to do the relic stuff without breaking something.
  2. That piece that broke off, is it smacked in like a nail? 10k for a Flying V. You a doctor or a lawyer?
  3. Consider yourself lucky never having to hear Warrant. They . . . what's the word I'm looking for . . . blow. Not one sexual innuendo in the song Cherry Pie.
  4. I was in the USCG stationed on a Patrol Boat in Puerto Rico. A crewmember's wife called, and said a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center. We turned on the TV on the Mess Deck and saw the world had just changed in the blink of an eye.
  5. The two specs listed are the only difference I see out of all the specs. So are these basically the same guitar. One got a different finish and one has a single ply fretboard binding, and was touched by the maestro's ice pick. So there is this: https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Acoustic-Guitar/1960-Hummingbird-Heritage-Cherry-Sunburst-Light-Aged/Heritage-Cherry-Sunburst-Light-Aged Binding - Multi-ply Top, Multi-ply Back, Single-ply Fretboard Body Finish - Murphy Lab Aged Nitrocellulose Lacquer And then this: https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Acoustic-Guitar/ACCA45535/Heritage-Cherry-Sunburst Binding - Multi-ply Top, Multi-ply Back Body Finish -Thin Finish Nitrocellulose, VOS
  6. Yeah but this guy is a pro, cause he gets paid to do it. Walking around the house bumping into stuff is how the amateur's do it. The same pristine looking model HB is $5199. The model that looks aged is $6699. For a grand total of $1500 worth of whatever a relic-er actually does? So if the a bit beat up models sound good, the other ones I would think would be the same without the penny treatment.
  7. Maybe he relic's the bracing too? These just say light aging, and not dragged behind Camero SS for 3 miles on a gravel road. That is how they do heaving relic-ing. And throwing pennies at it.
  8. Why doesn't she have her own guitars?
  9. You never heard Love Is Alive or Dream Weaver. DW is kind of soft.
  10. Gary Wright of Spooky Tooth and a solo career passed yesterday. This one is killer.
  11. Who wants a new guitar coming home and looking new? That's just silly.
  12. They solved that. Didn't you see the commercial of the two people sitting in a bathtub on a hill. Pop one of those pills in your mouth, and you could be the stunt double on a porn set.
  13. Did they contact Gibson to see if they could be the second most confusing to find out the date of when something was made. >I< Well lets see that's either a real 1959, a Reissue of a 1959 or it's neither. But it is one of those 3.
  14. I own a pair of cowboy boots, but I'm not country. Madonna made dance music. I remember hearing people rave about this Billie character and I sampled some of her music. That was some of the most awful stuff I ever heard next to skinny Lizzo.
  15. Madonna is in the Hall. Name 5 things Rock about her. Trick question cause the answer is none.
  16. You need an everyday carry for when some clown gets lippy in Walmart. Never know when someone needs to bleed.
  17. That's right its Labor Day. Which means everyone with kids will be leaving today, and they are back in school tomorrow, and tourist season is over. We will get Canadian snow birds, and weekenders, but nothing like the summer months. People in Golf Carts will reduce 10 fold, and it will go back to being mostly the local drunks trying to get home before dusk. Some kids had to go back to school a week ago and I could tell that last weekend traffic around here was much less.
  18. Good score. I have a Peterson clip on one. They are accurate. The best marketing blurb from them is "Your in tune or your not". Wow I guess I'm breathing or I'm not too.
  19. I have no idea what this guitar looks like.
