  1. Lars, that's only AFTER someone becomes proficient on the guitar!
  2. When did the Lounge get hacked by Quickbooks Pro? I mean 15 posts, fer cryin' out loud!
  3. When I was younger, I slept in ALL my cars....okay....maybe the correct term would be "passed out"....but lets' not get too technical!
  4. I'd have to skip lunch for an entire week to be able to afford this!
  5. Actually I come here to CORRECT people's spelling and grammar...such as "So your here to get your grammar..." Should be "So, you're here to get your grammar..." As far as Charles goes....how would YOU like to live your entire life hoping and waiting for your mother to die? And now that's he's king, we can keep looking over his shoulder because Prince William is just waiting on HIM to die! And as a note....I type VERY fast......just not very well! I make MANY typos.....so I don't criticize others except in jest. Also, I fibbed....I might have a guitar or two.
  6. Weren't the red pills called "disclosure tablets" and the red 'disclosed' all the places you didn't brush well?
  7. The 'real' Mini Coopers were made by British Motor Company....now they're made by BMW. You know, BMW are referred to as a "German Jag" (because they break down so often).
  8. Reminds me of the line about the 60's.... if you recall them, you weren't really there.
  9. It's kinda a 'normal' line for English car buffs.
  10. So our new friend Flouret is a head of cauliflower?
  11. To be fair, English is most likely not his first language..... I hope he gets what he's looking for.....I just want to know what the difference is between "Flouret" and "Fleurs".
  12. Exactly. Posts a serial number and wants info on a guitar..... then when I say we'll need more info, he posts half a dozen photos of the guitar...but STILL doesn't say what he wants to know..... finally says he wants a price. Very Strange.
  13. I recall going to Monterey once to this girl's house...her front yard was like a Japanese Garden....waterfalls....bridges,...etc. Home was an old Victorian. I really don't really recall WHY I was there, (those were not years of clarity in my life), and she drove a Jaguar Mk IX. We drove it down to Hearst's Castle....again, I don't recall why.....but the car was STUNNING!
  14. You're right....the Lucas (Prince of Darkness) electrical system was an issue. There wasn't too much of a problem to fix it....it's just that the fix didn't last! I always said my XJ-S was the sexiest car ever on the back of a tow truck! The old joke is, "Do you know why Englishmen like warm beer?" "Lucas designed their refrigerators!"
  15. I've certainly heard that the muscle car manufacturers underrated the HP on some of their cars. My wife had a 450-SL..... I took it up once to 140 MPH, (with the top off). Was gettin' kinda sketchy at that speed. But I had a V-12 Jag.... and at 140 it was a solid as if I was going 60. Wasn't a fast 'revver' but just kept on building speed..... there was no road to take it faster.
  16. Here's Karloff's post for those who aren't bi-coastal: Hi Flouret, I was responding to Murph's original comment. Regarding my comment on the guitar you are interested in, I was just trying to be funny. no malicious intent.
  17. My Showman had automotive vinyl roof material covering it and '57 Chevy silver seatcover material for grill cloth, (I did it back in the 70's). I sent it off to be completely recovered wit Tolex and correct grill cloth to match the new grill cloth on the speaker box, (the Tolex was good on it). I don't recall who I sent it off to, (actually my luthier sent it).
  18. Bill, at least now we know he was talking about a Les Paul.... Looks okay to me, (I'm no Les Paul expert). So now...what does Flouret want to know about it?
  19. Gonna need more info than that.
  20. I think if your parents didn't have children, chances are you won't either.
  21. I'm jamming my thumb in your eye....but I appreciate the information.
  22. That's like asking a guy what time it is, and he tells you how to build a watch!
