  1. I have a Historic Series 42 Banner J-45 and the saddle leans quite similar to that. I have heard tell that a leaning saddle increases the risk of cracking the bridge but I have also heard luthier/repair persons say it's nothing to worry about. Mine has been that way for a few years now and no issues so far. I'm not too worried about it. If I was, I'd take it to a couple of trusted shops and get a 1st and 2nd opinion.
  2. I have the 42 Banner reissue J-45 and it came with the redline case, purple interior, black exterior. Each buckle has the PF logo on it. As far as I know, the LG-2 reissue should have the same type of case, so it sounds like you are good.
  3. Are you sure he wasn’t talking about the Jason Aldean song?
  4. How can he when that seems to be the go to for so many people these days? He’s got the rhetoric down, he should embrace it. It’s the UK, they probably love hearing about right wingers and losers.
  5. Miranda Lambert makes some pretty good dog toys. According to my dog . . .
  6. John Lennon and Bruce were/are both a couple of the most over-rated, commie hacks in the music biz.
  7. How is the whole “being a di*k on the internet thing” working out for you?
  8. If you’ve seen that then why did you say “Can’t buy it as a Kindle in the UK.“
  9. Kindle version is available from Amazon UK.
  10. I prefer short scale so normally I would go for the Hummingbird but there is no way I would pay the money for one with stickers all over it. Next for me would be the Elvis Dove. The 200 is an amazing guitar but too big for me.
  11. L-00 Studio, walnut back and sides?
  12. One huge consideration not mentioned so far are the neck profiles. The LG-2 and CEO 7 necks are just about as different as you can get. I owned a CEO 7 and liked the sharp V neck, and found the tone quite “beautiful.” It really is a unique Martin. But. . . I actually found the tone to be too complex for my vocals. I felt as if I was always struggling against it when singing. Certainly could be an issue unique to me. And admittedly, I’m not the greatest vocalist. I play mostly singer songwriter stuff and for that, I’d go with the LG-2.
  13. Ah, I hear you. That sure does seem biased. “Dirty kid sniffer” seems more appropriate.
  14. Where’s the political opinion?

  16. What else do you guys have to talk about? Martin binding? Taylor Swift?
  17. While your white-knighting is adorable, please give it up. She’s not going to touch your pee-pee.
  18. A Taylor Swift sig model would be the ti. . . would be great!
  19. I don’t care what a guitar looks or sounds like. I only buy if it’s made in China. Ch-iiiiiiiii-nah!
  20. My preference would be for the original due to bone nut/saddle, white button tuners, silk-screened logo, and to be completely ridiculous but most-importantly, the orange label. My main gripe for both models is the slim taper neck. I think the standard should have the newer slim taper and the original should have something beefier.
  21. I wanna know what Slash does with that extra hole.
  22. I wouldn’t be able to use one. I drop my pen way too often. I’d break the headstock off.
  23. I’d like to check out the J-35. I don’t mind a satin finish on the body and definitely prefer it on the neck. Gibson should really drop the G series and focus on these. Add a L00 and LG-2 maybe.
  24. Brother, life is too short to limit yourself to only two holes. If it fits, I say go for it! Get creative. Technically, anything can be/become a hole. But perhaps that is a (w)hole other discussion entirely. I would be interested in checking out the J-35 in person.
