  1. I know in the 80's us metal heads were called devil worshippers and our music was a terrible influence on children by evangelicals and certain members of congress that wanted to censor the music.
  2. lol..... I really don't have much to say considering I paid $140 for the correct Hofner vintage truss rod cover for my 67 Hofner bass. 😬
  3. Trump isn't dumb..... Actually a dumb person wouldn't be able to tear America in two like he did. The more I look back with blinders off, he's quite the scary person. I hope he just sticks with buying / selling real state.
  4. It's not so much of a have to. If for some reason after 3 months I just can't do it then I'll remove the nut and reverse it and reverse the bridge and make it playable for me right hand... But I'm really going to give it a shot.
  5. So as my left handed Hofner bass is on it's way to being delivered this week, I've been thinking about teaching myself to play bass left handed. I know it would be almost like starting over, but was thinking about giving myself about 3 months to at least give it the ol' college try. Has anyone else attempted this?
  6. In my era of voting to me Regan was the best then followed by Clinton, then after that it's kind of a wash.... To me the worst so far and by far was Trump. I really thought he could shake things up a little , but he turned out to be a complete con artist and moron. Which then I started to read about his business dealings during the 1990's and 2000's (which I should have read prior to voting for him the first time), but I wasn't comfortable with the alternative Hillary. I didn't mind all of Trumps BSing.... I mean c'mon it was so obvious, and it was kind of comical for awhile, but when he told people that ingesting bleach and running ultraviolet light internally could be a solution for Covid, that was the last straw for me. Recently even his "holy roller" running mate Pence just publicly insinuated Trump was un-American... whatever that means now. But my favorite president to this day was and still is Reagan. He did a ton for my people and some of my uncles on my mons side when he signed a bill (Immigration Reform and Control Act) to amnesty 3 million illegal aliens, which created a path for them to become Americans.... Both of my uncles went on to become Pathologist and it was because of the opportunity the Immigration Reform and Control Act provided. To me Reagan had the greatest understanding of the modern America.
  7. At least he apologized....... Most individuals of the same stature wouldn't think twice about not saying he was sorry and admitted he or she was wrong.
  8. We feel that way, and never felt any different at any point in our lives. I'm a 1st generation American and my parents arrived in the USA in the 1940's. My parents always told us nothing is perfect, and you can either be a complainer or a doer.... So far it has worked for us.
  9. My family enjoyed the sitcom All In The Family.... We thought it was hilarious.... I dunno, it seems there are so many interpretations of communism these days, it just seems like it's a mud ball for both sides to throw at each other.
  10. That would be a treat if that bass was a mid-60's Hofner, but I can't see Guitar Center making that kind of mistake...........
  11. I find things to be more polite in the real world in comparison to social media. But then again some folks when reading on an electronic medium have a tendency to add emotion to words when reading a response when that emotion isn't really there.... Certainly accounting for lack of reading comprehension can contribute. Certainly the racism stuff I can do without, but let's be honest with ourselves, we all have imbedded prejudices. I grew up being a half Mexican and half Portuguese kid in the 70's, and some of things people get all bent out of shape about today, didn't bother us one tiny little bit as kids. I guess humans are evolving with thinner skin.
  12. Got the info on this bass The Serial Number is 2040 L/H 297 This is a 1995 20/40 Hofner Anniversary Model..... I was told it's rare because it's a LH model and 10-15 units were produced. Still stoked
  13. LMAO!!! No doubt after this bass get's delivered I'll be sitting in front of the TV watching it again.
  14. So.... I was looking for a 70's Fender P-Bass and was looking through the Guitar Center Vintage section and a 1964 Hofner 500/1 left handed Serial # 2040 for $1799. So I called the store directly to confirm and sure enough the guy went to the back and confirmed the serial number was stamped on the top of the headstock. He also stated he wasn't an expert but believed it was a 1990's but it looked older as the bass has surface cracks (as he called it) all over. So I immediately purchased it. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but what are the chances this is a vintage bass? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Serial number would indicate this is a 1964-65 Hofner bass according to those online date finders. Please see images.
  15. McVay is the king of poor timeout and red-zone play calling management. He's lucky the Rams have a boat load talent.
  16. We are so looking forward to this one. My Dad and I went to our first Rams game at the Coliseum in 1969, and it was against the 49ers (friggin John Brodie lit us up that day). Anywhoo hope we can play a clean game, because the last two have been really sketchy.
  17. Funny thing is I haven't been sick with anything going on two years since wearing masks in indoor public settings (1.5 years). Either those damn masks really work, or I have become better at washing my hands more often.... or both. I think after all is said and done, I will continue to wear masks in stores and only use outside seating at restaurants. I now always have a bottle of Purrell whenever I leave the house. If one thing good has come out of it for me, I have cut down on picking my nose and biting my fingernails.
  18. I'm the wrong person to ask: I'm not a Biologist.... But I'm sure plenty of infectious / highly contagious pathogens are locked away somewhere.... One can only hope.
  19. Lol!! Actually that is not the law: When Obama signed the first to file law businesses had to change the way on how IP is handled. Now if you signed an NDA, certainly any ideas that pertain directly to company assets can be considered company IP. If the above is bothering, there are plenty of companies that don't have these type of NDA requirements.
  20. What people? How you choose to accept scientific info is up to you. The reason I think we don't hear from most scientist is because they are too busy being scientist, so the information is mostly second hand, so I guess one has to decide whom they will trust with that information. Plus in today's world, people just want cliff notes on most things, but get pissed off at the messenger when they don't read the fine print..... Example: Failing to carefully read the assembly instructions on Ikea furniture, then having to take it half way apart.
  21. People have consequential adverse effects to all different types of vaccines all the time, and science has the ability to pinpoint the cause of death to a specific cause. Is science 100% correct in all it analysis? Not always. But I'll take science over opinion any day of the week.
  22. I think there is two fold: If a business decides to take the jump and mandate vaccines for all its employees, and in the rare instance an employee has a reaction and dies, that could be a huge litigation nightmare for the company. I received all three vaccines and I wear a mask where it is posted to do so (Please Wear A Mask). Do I like wearing a mask? No.... And I'm still a bit chagrinned I have to wear a mask after being administered three Covid Vaccines. But we have a rule at our house that if you are not fully vaccinated (must show proof) you can't come over and hang out. Is it a lousy rule? Maybe.... But it's a rule I expect people that upon entering my house must adhere to: It doesn't mean I think they are bad people because they don't want to wear a mask or get a Covid vaccine.... It's just house rules 😉
  23. No military for me, but soldiers are not considered property, but termed as employee's.... Some people may believe that military personnel are government property. Such is NOT the position of the U.S. government.
