  1. Seedy, Nightfall, Burn, Ear Bleedin' Country and Malcolm - a batch of new originals we are cooking up. I'm confident a couple of these will emerge as keepers at least
  2. they all sound like they'd be great and should be able to be set up nicely how you want them, ...so if it was me I'd just choose the one I thought looked coolest.
  3. ...even when you have the flu and can't sing for sh!t...
  4. Interesting idea, though it kind of sounds like making it up as you go...but benefit of the doubt to Gibson. i wonder if this is a means to dump the Custom Shop (or else kind of compete with an authorised, high quality version of yourself?)
  5. You must be virtually staying at Scotland Yard, Bill (well, you have an appropriate name then!) actually there's a pretty park just there where I've stopped for a sandwich before. . Nice old building behind it...if that's a hotel it should be nice!
  6. Very nice Rabs. I like London, been there 7 times I think in the past 10 years, but its such a long trip to get there! Almost always just there on business but about 18 months ago I enjoyed a couple of weeks with my family and wondered all around the areas you photographed. I've walked London every chance I've had - it kind of is the centre of the western universe. Not sure if I could live there though - but visiting is highly recommended!
  7. Looking at set lists I'd say no. Many different themes across relationships, reveries, stories, socio-politics, whimsy....but not hate. ...oh, hang on, I did write one once called Self-inflicted Karma but it wasn't that serious and not worthy of the live set list in any case
  8. Congratulations on getting work Rabs - must feel good. What do you do there aside from photography/Facebook?
  9. Popular is fine...I'm actually thinking of designs and features that would be useful to the majority of players that weren't available more than 50 years ago. Popular is a good sign in this case. if formed plastic guitars can be made from recycled material they could be a good thing in the future. Low cost, environmentally friendly, strong and potentially light weight....who knows?
  10. Kind of feels that way Pip. I'm not a lawyer either (thankfully), but I'd speculate: Great time to copywrite = when you develop something new OK time to copywrite = when it looks likes like someone may be copying it for the first time Dumba$$ time to copywrite = when every man and his dog have copied it for 50+ years without you prosecuting your IP
  11. Yeah, maybe we could start a list of genuinely good ideas from the past 50 years that actually could have been useful to most players in either guitar design or features. Gotta admit I'm struggling to think of much.....locking tuners maybe?
  12. How many big breakthrogh ideas or designs have the major guitar companies come up with in the past 50 years that have made much difference compared to if they'd never bothered changing anything? ...must be a tricky business to be in when product innovation is virtually pointless (if not counterproductive) and yet you need to stimulate repurchase when there's fundamentally no need for it.
  13. Sue your way out of bankruptcy eh? Well I guess that's a plan. No such thing as bad publicity....I'm not so sure.
  14. I currently own 3 electrics (which seems at least 1 too many so might give one to my son when he leaves home). I had 2 other electrics when I was a kid, a bass and 2 acoustics over the years all of which are gone now.
  15. I suppose Kirk's gonna need a bigger music room! Good on ya DG, can't take it with you.
  16. ...Could be said they Jumped the Shark back around '69.
  17. I like that Harley Benton Doublecut - great colour and light weigh too! Never heard of them before - are they decent?
  18. If I ever own one, it would be the keeper! ... I find their guitars kind of weird, that flat backed neck, the lacquered board. But the bass would be for life
  19. No,.... hang about.... wait up,.....whoa,....wtf man,.....whadayamean: 'for a while'?
  20. C'mon Pip, I realise we are both Scottish (you even by plan), but a thats $250 any old day.
  21. I reckon Juniors are awesome. Congrats and welcome mate.
