KSG_Standard
I'm also looking at an LP GOTW #33. I don't know why, but I really dig the way it looks. Any of you rock dogs have any experience with this model? Thanks!

myspace.com/jessenoah
and i think it has that real nice satin finish right?
slimjimdom
Cool guitar! Looking at the specs it seems it would sound a lot like a Chambered Black Beauty would.
littlekenny
Nice. I've played one a couple times at Guitar Center, the satin finish feels great. Looks pretty cool too
TattooedCarrot
I really like the look, but I think I need maple on an LP.

Crabby
I've got a GOTW #33, they have a satin finish, 60s neck which isn't sticky cause of the finish, uncovered 57 pups, mohogany top. It's a nice axe.
Thundergod
I am curious as to how they sound with the old Gibson logo... maybe that's where the mojo is. nikko18
what the hell!?!?! i played one of them at a guitar center recently exactly like that with the satin finish and everything (it sounded awesome i thought) and it was labeled "vintage used 1979 les paul standard i believe. they were trying to pass it off as a vintage guitar!!! Thundergod
Really? What was it going for?
nikko18
i dont remember i some where between 4 and 6 thousand. i was all like "oh no wonder it's so good. it's vintage and super expensive". guess maybe how a guitar feels to you as far as "vintage mojo" goes might all be in your head. rybass
I picked one up about a month ago and whoa nelly! She be a fine hunk o wood! I love the warmth it has. I guess that's the mahogany top. Mine has a tone of sustain and I actually like the 57s in it. I never liked them before but they sound right on my git. They may be balanced out by the mahog top? Thunder, you're right, the Gibson banjo logo just adds the right amount of woodyness to the tone. Def would not sound the same with a modern gibby logo. If you are into the warmer tone that the mahog top will lend itself to I would pull the trigger. It has a great look too.
tomasfc
I own one. Got it at Guitar Center (Hollywood) in December 08. It is a beauty and plays soooo well. It's my "baby." Love it. Was able to bring the price down to 1550. They didn't know what they were selling. I knew what I was buying.
