clarkuss
Well it's no secret my favourite guitar is the Epiphone Casino and I recently bought a 1997 Peerless Casino in VCS but it's been in the guiar shop waiting on a 60s style bridge with nylon saddles and just got it back on Friday. I decided to take the modern foil e logo off and replace it with a 60s style one but when I did I noticed the previous owner had superglued it on so the pickguard ended up ruined so it's got a Harrison 67 vibe to it now. Here it is next to my 1997 Riviera. I'm going to add a 60s style blue label and hopefully find a 2 hole TRC for it too. And with the rest of the Casinos (MIC Lennonised Revolution, MIK Lennonisd 1965, Peerless 1997, Craig's 2005 Peerless 1966 style "Harrisonised")

rbachman
Very nice !!!! Being a lefty, I will have to get a Peerless Songbird because Epiphone decided a while ago to not make lefty's .... Sorry for the political statement !! Peace and love and Casinos !!! Rob

clarkuss
So how do you like the difference with the nylon saddles? Does McCartney's Casino have nylon saddles? God bless, Spamonkis All 3 Beatles had Nylon saddles on their Casinos. I honestly only make the modification because I work in a Beatles tribute band and I like my stuff to have that authentic 60s vibe. I do actually find the Nylon saddles take off a bit of the abrasive and bright metallic sound.
mgrasso
Nice group shot, Clark. I love the Casino and Riviera side by side. Shame they did not do the Minis in the mid to late 90's on the Riviera. Amazing how the lower bout of the Riviera looks a little longer. I know it's an optical illusion. We just had a 93 Nashville Riviera VSB with the Minis go on e-bay for around $1,800. Like you were saying in another post, amazing what comes around when you're not quite in the position to jump on it. Enjoy, Mark

clarkuss
Yes mark, more often than not it's annoying rather than amazing Frustrating the number of times I am looking for something but get impatient and buy something else only to find the guitar I wanted to come around a few months later. But I can't complain. I have a good collection of guitars to keep me happy!
