electricguitarist805 Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 like the acoustic snd of my les paul or jackson how do i get that snd thru an amp
Bluemoon Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I don't think it is possible. I guess you could mike your guitar. Go buy an acoustic.
Thundergod Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 But then again if you use a mic then you are processing the signal and it will not sound the same... I dont think it is possible. The closest you could get is installing a piezo bridge
rocketman Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 But then again if you use a mic then you are processing the signal and it will not sound the same... I dont think it is possible. The closest you could get is installing a piezo bridge +1. Personally I don't have enough guts to do this to my Les Paul. But to each their own...
phil325 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 that looks amazing when done right! i'd rather buy it from someone than do it myself cuz i don't think i could drill into my lp
Guitar slinger Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 The guy did that to a VOS. Speaking of balls...
Thundergod Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 The guy did that to a VOS. Speaking of balls... imagine that... when I do it to my lester (install that piezo bridge) I will just cut a section of the pickup ring, and pass the wires through there, I already have the bridge (LR baggs) but dont have the preamp and dont know how it will work without one, the manual says you dont need the preamp so I guess this holidays will give me enough time to think about it.
Flight959 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Why dont you adjust your amp for a clean sound...??? I have the acoustic pickup in my Slash....It sounds nice but the difference is not huge from runing an acoustic setting on the amp with the Sd's Regards Flight959
Flight959 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 ????? How old are you? ??????? who?? Flight959
Thundergod Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 To get the real sound you need a transparent/translucent pickguard (like the ones that came with the original robot guitars...
Flight959 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 To get the real sound you need a transparent/translucent pickguard (like the ones that came with the original robot guitars... Dont forget the silver screws....!! Flight959
