+1. Personally I don't have enough guts to do this to my Les Paul. But to each their own...

The guy did that to a VOS.

Speaking of balls...

 

 

imagine that... when I do it to my lester (install that piezo bridge) I will just cut a section of the pickup ring, and pass the wires through there, I already have the bridge (LR baggs) but dont have the preamp and dont know how it will work without one, the manual says you dont need the preamp so I guess this holidays will give me enough time to think about it.

Why dont you adjust your amp for a clean sound...??? I have the acoustic pickup in my Slash....It sounds nice but the difference is not huge from runing an acoustic setting on the amp with the Sd's

To get the real sound you need a transparent/translucent pickguard (like the ones that came with the original robot guitars...

 

Dont forget the silver screws....!!
