Rich7196
Looking at used 2006 MIK (Unsung) Epiphone Casino w/ bigsby.. There was a limited run on these... The guitar shop wants $600? Any thoughts? It's in very good condition, pick guard was removed..includes HSC.
Spamonkis
Ah yes, the old, "Should I buy this guitar?" question. My answer is always the same (Assuming you have $600); Look at it, hold it, play it. If you can't put it down and walk away, buy it. If you can, don't. Life is too short to play average guitars. Johnny Seven
I'm sure the MIK ones are good, but I'd be hard pressed to find a better one than my '07 MIC - which I bought used off Craigslist for $350 w/ hardshell case.
Rich7196
Thx, the shop lowered to $535.. Still not sure?
Johnny Seven
Thx, the shop lowered to $535.. Still not sure? Still sounds a little too high to me, but - if you like it... edit: I must have missed the part about the Bigsby and the case... Yeah, get it. Scott0
Thx, the shop lowered to $535.. Still not sure? go buy the goddamn guitar! if you want a casino with a bigsby that price is fine. :)
gypsyseven
I would take it....seems ok for a Casino with Bigsby and with a HSC...
Dennis G
I would take it....seems ok for a Casino with Bigsby and with a HSC... Ditto. The B7 I put on my Elitist Casino cost $135 on Amazon. Figure that a HSC is worth $80-100, brings your guitar price down to around $300 as I see it. Sounds okay to me, especially if you like the guitar. And it IS a Casino! Aster1
When did Epi start making the Casino back in Korea vs. the MIC versions? Had one and it was nice but sold it when I got my MIJ Elitist. $535 isn't a bad price if it's in great shape. Do they have the Pickguard still or is it just gone? Rich7196
Also, stopped by my local GC. Played one of the $599 chinese casinos.. Let's just say the Korean axe blew it away.. What a piece of crap, I wouldn't paddle a canoe with it.

What a piece of crap, I wouldn't paddle a canoe with it. Guitars are like people, you have to judge them as individuals. Just because one Korean built axe plays better than one Chinese does not mean ALL Korean Casinos are superior. I played a few crap Chinese Casinos before I played Ruby. She plays and sounds phenomenal. Thats is why my earlier advise was to play the guitar and if you could not walk away from it, buy it (and it sounds like that's what you did!). Congrats on getting a great guitar!

What a piece of crap, I wouldn't paddle a canoe with it. I don't know - I'm pretty happy with my MIC Casino... Guess I must have just "gotten a good one" then, since most of them are "pieces of crap"...
