Rabs Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Theres been quite a bit of press for these two recently.. Kinda interesting how he uses the bass as a Rhythm guitar and almost a lead guitar at points... See what you reckon
surfpup Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 They are new to me - but it seems like a good way to do a heavy duo instead of trying to get the 6 string guitar to sound deep and massive.
Eades Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Been loving these from day one, reminds me of a british version of middle class rut
buliwyf Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I didnt think I was going to dig a duo especially just bass and drums. What a power killer sound those two make, great lead, bass player and the drummer is one heavy pounding dude.I expected one of those Lemmy Kilmister like vocals but was really surprised by the good vocals .Thanks for the tip Rabs
AndyK Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 My lad saw them at Reading festival - said they were great.

Eades Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Makes you want to buy a fuzz pedal for your bass
Guest Farnsbarns Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 These 2 guys are really great people too. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer couple of chaps. Their new album has been the fastest selling in 3 years!
surfpup Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Relatedly, I heard them played today on Alt Nation (Sirius/XM) and was surprised. My wife was like... "I told you about them before..." 'Twas a bit heavier than the stuff they usually play on there.
Jimi Mac Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Not my thing... It just really doesn't evoke any passion or interest in me. I just don't care for it... Clearly they are talented. But it's not for me... But then again I thought the same thing about AC/DC back in the day and now I love them... Musical tastes evolve and I suspect you must be in a pretty specific area of a musical evolution to appreciate them with more enthusiasm than I can manufacture for them...
Izzy Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 not bad at all, but not my thing. the bass sounds like a guitar a bit. I was expecting the sound to be more flea or primus.....
