skilsaw
Oneeyeddog says in one of his posts, "I have seen a couple of Les Paul Specials DC used and was wondering how they are regarded?" Never heard of a Les Paul Special DC. What does DC mean, anyway?

Versatile
Double Cuts are interesting alternatives to Single Cuts... The ergonomics are different due to less weight Tone can be different too for similar reasons The aesthetic suits some people more than others As well as Gibson...Gretsch and others have DC versions of some of their SC's V
capmaster
Lots of abbreviations all around, impossible to know them all. Some are ambiguous, even having two meanings within the subject guitars. SC can mean Single Cut(away) as well as Single Coil. Only the context is giving a clue when SC appears. The second and most common meaning of DC, Direct Current, is also not that far away from guitars when it's about electrics. Let alone the present web acronymania... merciful-evans
Ive been after a DC for a while now. I have never owned a Les Paul, but these appeal to me a lot. Unfortunately the ones I have played so far (P90 versions) have been quite resistible. I suppose I ought to give the SCs a try. I just prefer the looks of doublecuts. Versatile
My favourite 'local luthier' Gordon Smith makes some IMO superb DC's.... There are LP Junior styles and SG's to ponder and drool over With several hand-wound P/U configurations... V
