Yes, we've seen some of them here - very entertaining and excellent C-19 therapy. Earle is the not the heaviest expert on the planet, but he has insight and heart.

I watched the series as it unfolded.   Like other musicians Steve's schedule has been curtailed so it may have been something he was doing just to keep himself occupied and because he loves guitars.    The last time I got to see him was on the Guy Tour.  A great flippin' show.

I own a 1874 Martin  2/27    Its a killer guitar.  Silk and steels    That 2/24 that  S Earle has looks nice.

Ya. All of them are. I know mine is dated and signed .     But no model I.D.  Had to got through a Gruhn book for that one.   The more ornate , the higher the number.   Mine has the ivory binding. Ivory Buttons. Gold lip abalone.  
I think they stopped using Ivory in the mid to late 1880s.
