I spend some time watching retro TV programs. This morning I was watching an old JACK BENNY show. He did a sketch about his early days trying to break into show biz by once heading up a mock hillbilly band. That sketch band was made up of a few of the musicians from his actual show band, including guitarist Frankie Remley. Remley was sporting a fat arch top Gibson acoustic set up for left hand play, judging by the pick guard being beneath the strings instead of over, where they would be if he was simply turning the guitar over. Now, I can't be sure of which model of Gibson it was or if Gibson did offer left handed versions of that(or other) models at the time. I'm guessing it was a custom job.
