I don't go for black finishes, but its uncommon for SGs and its distinctive, especially with that pickguard. The nickel looks gold in this pic, probably the light or reflection. Twang Gang Posted May 14, 2023 Share Posted May 14, 2023 That's a really good looking pair of SGs, I particularly like the black one as you don't see that many in that color. Honestly as I was coming up back in the 70s I never cared for the look of an SG. But one year when I got my tax refund I tried one out at Sam Ash and really liked the way if felt. So much lighter than a LP and the double cut away made upper fret access much easier and still got the LP tones from the hog body and neck. I gigged it for about 3 years.
