gampadoug
Howdy ES Brothers and Sisters. Question: I have a 2019 ES-335 with dog ear P90's and a really big, fat, baseball bat neck. Is this neck profile a trend for Gibson or just my model? Thanx, Gampa Doug
Wmachine
Must be a dealer model as they are not shown on the Gibson site. Do you know the specs? Hard to know what yours is just from your description.
gampadoug
legacy.gibson.com show it.
SteveFord
rounded “C” profile Yours may have been made by the same guy who made my long gone SG Classic w/ the P90s.
gampadoug
Yes, "rounded C profile. So, I think we can conclude that this profile is not what most 335's come with now. thanx
Twang Gang
According to the current website descriptions the "rounded C" is the most common now. But that is the shape - the thickness as always varies depending on how it was sanded I think. They are certainly not all the same. merciful-evans
I'm not that fussy about neck shapes, but V shapes I find particularly comfy. Size though makes a difference. I have a couple of guitars with baseball bat necks.
