Sgt. Pepper
So we wait all year for summer and now that its here I'm over it. Its gonna be in the 90's all week where I'm at, 4000% humidity, and we are over run with tourists. When up in Asheville last week, the second day there it was 66 degrees when we got up to walk to the place we had breakfast at. It was killer. You can forget about going out to eat around here unless you want to wait an hour to get seated. And the AYCE crab leg / seafood buffets, for get about it. And of course since its summer I see the state I grew up in (California) is on fire again with wild fires. It's like clockwork. Edited July 17, 2023 by Sgt. Whitefang
The best thing about wildfires in the West is if the wind blows eastward it'll give us all the chance to choke on good old AMERICAN made smoke instead of all that imported stuff! 😉 Whitefang
surfpup
Summer..... the only time of the year where it's cooler in NE Florida than a lot of the rest of the country! Upper 80s with a seabreeze is pleasant compared to a lot of the heartland in July and August. Of course it will be upper 80s until November.... but.... 😆
jvi
Looks like the USA now has fires burning coast to coast. Sadly, like us up here, the eastern fires are bigger than ever and in more places.
SteveFord
Remember a couple of years back when Digger posted those horrific photos of the fire damage in Australia?
