Yeah Johhny! Show us how the Blues gets done. (I must admit, I like his Firebird direct into Marshall tone a little better, but he sure can Sing and Play like no one else)

Go Johnny Go! :-

I saw him about 20 years ago and from the looks of him I didn't think he'd be around much longer, but he's still kickin'.

Yeah I remember seeing him in 1981.

A couple of years ago I saw him at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande. He sat in a chair most of the night. But that man can still play electric guitar blues. It was fantastic.

Think he was taking to much Seconal? I love to hear him do that song.

Saw him summer of 2007 and June 2008. He sat the whole time at both concerts but wow did he rock the house!!! One of these days I'll have to post some of the pics I took.

Thanks for posting the link Californiaman!

Haven't read the whole thing yet but here is an nice article from Gibson On Johnny - 40 Years of Johnny Winter

I liked it. And he does not use up half the video talking (or tuning up -- so many do that) He starts right in playing! I bookmarked it. I'll come back.

Wow, I just went through the article H4H posted.

You have to listen to Be Careful With a Fool. Great work.

What's that guitar Johnny's playing?

It's the Wilshire!

He's playing what appears to be a 1964 Epiphone Wilshire in the Be Careful With a Fool video.

I think it is, It might be an epiphone Comet, but I think it's a Wilshire.
