Les Paul Neck

The so-called 60's neck. They are all different but in general this is it.

You own a Casino, that is is even thinner than a 60's Gibson profile.

Talking about Casinos, have you improved the nut and pots, mine are a joke but I have not gotten to it yet.

Yes, new bone nut, switchcraft toggle, pots, wiring and kluson deluxe tuners. My casino looked awesome but i was frustrated with the sound/tone and tuning issues. Drove me nuts and figured I'd sink a little money into it and see if I could make it sound as good as it looked. Huge improvement now she's a keeper.

One more question on the Casino if you don't mind.

Did you use 500K pots for the volume controls or 300K?

On the Les Paul neck you are just going to have to try them out, I recently grabbed a 60's profile at GC and it was definitely on the thinner side.

Agreed' date=' I like them too.

I was concerned that the 500K pots would make the guitar sound too bright, but then again I do not know what is in it right now.[/quote']

The tone was so muddy and just plain crap that I figured 500k was the only option. I was at the end of my rope. It was a christmas gift from my wife and it was a beautiful guitar. It just wouldn't stay in tune and had an awful hum over and above the normal p90 hum. The tone sucked and I was ready to sell it off and get the elitest or a Lennon but figured I'd gut the sucker replace everything chinese with American and change the nut to bone. Well she came to life and now plays as purty as she looks.
