Laney1566
Around 1987 I got to see Whitesnake open for Motley Crue on the Girls Girls Girls tour......Awesome!! I do admit that Alice Cooper put on a hell of a show when Kane Roberts was his lead guitarist. About the time that Teenage Frankenstein was out. Don't remember the name of the tour. I think it was "Rocking across America".
bscott
Al Jarreau backed up by the Earth, Wind and Fire rhythm section. Absolutely gobsmaked everyone there. Standing ovation followed by standing ovation and very well deserved. Followed by Lyle Lovett playing solo acoustic.
charlie brown
I too saw the beatles in 1966. Candlestick Park. Most memorable.... probably Yardbirds' date=' THEM, Stones, (1965 at the San Jose Civic Auditorium...probalby holds only 3500 people), Byrds, Animals, Chuck Berry, Leo Kotctke, John Sebastian, B.B. King, and of course George Jones. Bob[/quote'] Yeah, I saw B.B. King, first..decades ago, in downtown Kansas City. The crowd, was predominently "black," but there were a fair number of us "lighter" folk, in attendance, too. There were "FINE" black women, of all ages (18 and up), screaming and throwing flowers, and their underwear on stage. One woman's red panties landed on the headstock of B.B.'s ES-355. He didn't miss a note, and just smiled... That, was really good, for a 19 year old "white boy," from the "sticks," to see/experience! ;>) So, yeah...it was a pretty memorable concert/dance, as well! Lowdown
I've gotta say that mine were the small pub/club gigs. The intimacy and interaction was more personal(sounds like I'm writing a Porn story)than a full blown stadium gig. I could name bands but I doubt if you blokes would know many of the bands since they're Australian. Talent is everywhere if you're open to it. guitargreg1993
the best show ive ever been to would definately be summerfest a few years ago in milwaukee.... lynyrd skynyrd was on one of the free stages and we watched them for a while then we saw tom petty and (i think?) jackson browne at the ampitheatre. a close second would be Nickelback on the Dark Horse Tour earlier this year -- they stopped by Chicago in March. That was a fun show.
Hector Arcadius
Oh yeah that reminds me I was front row at an Aerosmith show next to 2 hot blondes that kept lifting their t shirts for Tyler. That my friends was an AWESOME show!!!........... ...What? There was guitars and music too? Who knew. +1! however seeing Aerosmith live is a wish that will be very hard to come true... some of the best: Angra in Athens 1997 (I think), Dream Theater & Heaven & Hell in Rockwave Festival Athens 2007, AC/DC in Athens May, 2009
