NeoConMan
Congrats!!! I've wanted an AC 30 for years. Simply because they were so widely used on so much music I like. Every time I got close to buying one (or a vintage Fender) I got heartburn and couldn't spend the money. I don't know why I can spend $4,000 on a guitar but start wheezing when I look at amps costing half that.
charlie brown
It IS interesting, how we sometimes feel like that, Neo...and yet an great amp, makes a WHOLE LOT more difference, than and expensive guitar....IMHO. But then, I'm kind of on an "Amp Kick" anyway, anymore. So...??? CB

If you got a Vox which model would you get? CB.. You're right. The amp is a big deal.
Dub-T-123
Well I got the amp... and it fxcking rocks. It's everything I expected/ wanted and more. When I crank it up I sound like a rockstar. Everything worked out beautifully. I fully recommend that people buy used gear. The amp is in minty condish and came with all the candy, & the price was right, the seller was a really cool guy. I'm very happy with the purchase. My rig is so legit now. Dub-T-123
Ok I have to add to that... I just dove deep into the cleans on this amp and it just blew my mind. This is the best clean sounding amp I've ever heard. The cleans are just out of this world. The reverb is amazing. This thing is the sh¡t. I just played some of my originals on it. And it's the sound I hear in my head. This thing has a surfy, western sound that is exactly what I love.

Dub-T-123
The controls can be tricky. It might take you a while to really get it going. Once you get it, it's awesome. Also crank it up. I think you'll like the distortion. It's nice.

Thundergod
Thundergod... I was waiting for you to chime in. Get it?! Chime?! Vox! HAH!! I think I'm not the only guy here who was actually waiting for a line like that one Anyway... I still think this thread needs pics :- So here goes my on-topic thread hijackin' ...you got somethin' like dis? Controls can be tricky... Also' date=' I got a stand for it, the vox stand looks great and all but didn't look as strudy as the one I got (cheaper than the vox): a Hercules Z keyboard stand that suposedly can lift up to 200 punds and folds so it's easy to lug around for gigs [img']http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/thundergod_5/IMG_0184.jpg[/img]
Dub-T-123
Thats the one. Did you buy yours new or used? It's a great amp, isn't it? The controls are actually brilliant IMO. Any gripes?
Dub-T-123
You were right dem00n. I've been playing a lot more since I got my amp. I played for about four hours today. When I was at school I was just thinking about going home and playing some guitar. I love the way the amp sounds clean with the master volume all the way up.
