Dunwich
I was browsing for Gibsons and found this little gem. http://peoria.craigslist.org/msg/1529768679.html Looks like a Faded/Worn brown, right? I sent the seller an email, stating that they were charging too much for that colorway, and was told it is a brand new Wine Red Studio. Wine Red: Faded/Worn: Am I going crazy? mwink822
Nope, not going crazy, but the wine red on top is pretty damn sexy. Wine red with gold hardware is almost as sexy as alpine white with gold hardware.
Mark
Special pickups and inlays, I don't think so $1000.00 for a Studio save another $500 and get a used Standard. He must be going back to school at Harvard if he needs that money for that guitar
loneguitar
The top pic looks like a wine red studio, the 2nd. is a VM LP. Either way a grand is way too much for either, I picked my '95 up for 700.00. To my knowledge this guy is blowing smoke up someone's A** saying it's a limited model. Look around, these can be had anywhere's form 400 - 800 all day long, with a HSC.
Dunwich
Through a few more emails, the seller told me they look the same... And somebody offered $800 for it. It's actually a worn/faded cherry.
DAS44
Got my wine red, gold hardware off craigslist for 400 bucks, brand new condition.
Riffster
The ad shows definitely a VM, they're not $1,000 even new.
ItsForrest
I bought my worn cherry studio late last year for $750 brand new, with hard case. Guitar center lists them at 799 new (yes, with gig bag, not hsc). If someone offered 800 for it, they're an idiot. Unrealistic sellers are all over the place and generally not worth arguing with. Used Les Pauls are not hard to find for reasonable prices with a bit of patience.
Dunwich
Yeah. lol. I was just trying to let the seller know that they were asking to much for it. They got rather snappy when I tried explaing that it wasn't what they thought it was.
