deepblue
You guys want good & fast. Look up Shawn Lane. R.I.P. big guy.
shmigit
The guy puts a KFC bucket on his head and you want to reward him with his own signature Les Paul...get real. he wears the bucket because he wants people to pay attention to his playing not his appearance.. shmigit
Don't get me wrong' date=' because Buckethead is a great guitarist..... but, he's REALLY weird. He has a chicken coop in his studio. Why? He says, "It's hot porn, and it motivates me." Try and tell me that isn't really weird.[/quote'] it's a joke....obviously..
shmigit
So what if he can play fast. Look at this guy: Do you think anyone would make a signature guitar for him? no i don't. buckethead has multiple albums of great music that ranges through all different types of rock' date=' not just shred.[b'][/b]
AS90
Bucket's Gibsons are made specially for him and are 'oversized' so they dont look tiny in his hands.
Eitoip
Why would they not make a sig model after him just because he is crazy. I have never heard of him in the news doing anything. Look at Eric Clapton. The guy was flippin nuts in his younger years, just read his biography and he even acknowledges this himself. I personally don't think buckethead wants or deserves to get a sig model. THere are way to many qualified people ahead of him that deserve one. But he is still a great guitar player, some of his jazzier stuff just blows me away. I don't listen to his metal/shred stuff, not my cup of tea. Just my 2 cents though. led floyd9
it's a joke....obviously.. I know it's a joke. Buckethead is good, but there are people who deserve signiature models much more than he does. I don't even think there is a Duane Allman signiature model! Now he was a guy who deserved one.
Eitoip
I don't even think there is a Duane Allman signiature model! Now he was a guy who deserved one. I would seriously consider buying a model after Duane. What a great guitar player, shame he had to leave us so soon though. :(
littlekenny
How about Billy Gibbons?
VA_siCkBoy
I heard a rumor once that it's not a Gibson but some knock-off brand. Don't think it's true.
tonydownhill
Slash is a legend and an f##king great guitarist. He plays with his heart and soul, just read his biography and you see that his life has formed around guitar.
ChanMan
he wears the bucket because he wants people to pay attention to his playing not his appearance.. Yeah right... that's like saying he set his hair on fire so folks will notice his shoes. It's a gimmick. Just like dressing up in armor that looks like it came out of WoW... it just shows what some musicians will do to "make it" in the entertainment business. Ever notice how Eric Clapton or B.B King don't wear a KFC bucket, and yet folks listen to them?? Amazing, huh? I think if my talent warrants it, you'll listen regardles of whether I am in jeans and a t-shirt or a tuxedo. Just my $.02 I vote with Axe... Buckethead can have a signature guitar right after Axe gets his.
Gibson CS
Slash is a legend and an f##king great guitarist. He plays with his heart and soul' date=' just read his biography and you see that his life has formed around guitar.[/quote'] Thank you! It makes me so mad when people call him a poser and lump him in with all the generic 80's hard rock guitarsists. Way better.

Mash94
Alot of people just throw Slash in with them' date=' but seriously listen the November Rain, and some of his acoustic stuff. He's way better than them.[/quote'] Ya I know, November Rain, Patience, Sweet Child O' Mine, Estranged, Rocket Queen, Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City for christ's sake! All amazing songs by GNR and thats not all of them. I don't know why he would be grouped with the shredders or even some other 80's rock guitarists
FennRx
how about "One in a Million"? great acoustic solo IMO

FennRx
I would seriously consider buying a model after Duane. What a great guitar player' date=' shame he had to leave us so soon though. FennRx
he wears the bucket because he wants people to pay attention to his playing not his appearance.. no its a gimmick so you remember him because his music is forgetable. who else falls into this category? try bands like Slipknot and KISS. very talented musicians, but i dont think anyone will ever equate Slipknot with the Allman Brothers. and yes i know i am opening a can of worms. Tim Plains
FennRx, I think you should quickly close this can because one could say the same about Slash and his top hat.
FennRx
FennRx' date=' I think you should quickly close this can because one could say the same about Slash and his top hat.[/quote'] lol nah, because i think there is a difference between a look and a gimmick. i dont think slash is a gimmick. dansmith859
Also he had a very short lived GnR career' date=' most fans will just go w a Slash model[/quote'] Yeah well said , and also he has not really been proven to be an 'amazing' guitarist ( i personally dont think slash is either , he is was in the right place at the right time with the right image- dont take it personally ) But he has not done any major guitar playing that is recongnizable , he just learnt songs of G N R and personally his style playing is shred. for anyone who thinks he isnt an amazing guitarist all the need to do is hear him or watch him play some of his own stuff not the gnr stuff he is mile beyond slash is skill and talent
Gibson CS
FennRx' date=' I think you should quickly close this can because one could say the same about Slash and his top hat.[/quote'] I see where your coming from, but I don't think the top hat is a gimmick, sorta. Before Slash was famous, he had the hat, it wasn't something to get him recognized. Now that he IS famous, it has become his symbol. I think that the bucket is WAY more a gimmick
tango martin
Im guessing that no one here really cares much for primus then? that was how i was introduced to buckethead so all the "gimmick" comments make me chuckle cos generally i consider these guys to be about fun and having a chuckle at themselves/the world/music industry/rock stars! also buckethead does some movie soundtracks, last action hero being a main one, the second side of the cassette was full of thefilms score and the guitar playing is extremely atmospheric, upon realising years later it was buckethead my opinion was a tad confused and started to regard him as a true player just doesnt take it all that seriously! just read slashs autobiography (slash=main reason for wanting to play during early 90s) excellent book that kept me very quiet for a week, slash is without a doubt a very misunderstood player to a casual observer, much like buckethead, j mascis, steve malkmuss, spiral stairs and countless others i could croon about for days,
