rbc
I check E-bay periodically for a possible good deal on an epi. I have purchased a few items on E-bay( 2 trucks, a guitar etc.). So I don't consider myself a newbie. I just cannot understand, when there are still 6 days to go until end of auction and there are already 15 bids on the item. What can be the possible advantage to bidding that early??
Ron G
Don't forget that there is an automatic bidding function.
TWANG
people do that just because it's an easy way to keep track.. and they figure, if they get it that cheap good deal. scares away competition, maybe. hard to say.. lots of reasons though. tWANG
charlie brown
And, in certain cases..the seller bids to raise the price! CB
AS90
A lot of people just enter the maximum amount they are willing to pay and just let ebay do all the work, every time someone else does the same it ups your bid for you.
ef_in_fla
It's smartest to bid your max right before closing. Sniping software works great. Sometimes I'll throw up a low bid early just so it ends on my "bidding" section.
